One of three ‘flying’ squirrel species.
They do not actually fly, but can glide usually between 6-9 meters due to a loose fold of skin which extends from the front wrists to the rear ankles. They use their tails to steer.
They have white fur on their underbelly.
They are nocturnal.
Found in deciduous and mixed forests.
They breed twice a year, early Spring and Summer.
