After a few months of hard work and with the generous participation of several levels of government, WILD is please to acknowledge financial contributions to our Glen Valley project. A reminder that the project costs an estimated $25,200.
First, our municipality of Wentworth has agreed to contribute the construction of the parking lot, fence and interpretation panels up to a total of $5,000. They have been instrumental in the creation and continued support of WILD and we greatly appreciate their partnership with us!
Second, the MRC of Argenteuil has donated $2,500 towards the project. The nine mayors of our neighbouring municipalities all appreciate our conservation efforts and encourage us to continue in our work. Thank you!
Lastly, our provincial deputy, Agnès Grondin, helped us secure $2,000 from different departments of the provincial government. Mme. Grondin is a biologist so the environment is very close to her heart and her excitement for our project was evident. She will be an influencing supporter of our cause now and in the future. We look forward to working with her on more projects soon!
Of course, it goes without saying that our biggest supporters are the residents of Wentworth. The balance of this project will financed through the funds raised at our event last fall.
Again, thank you all for your support!
